Private residential / Whitley Bay

Astley Drive, Whitley Bay

A contemporary extension designed and detailed by Edwards Architecture.

Astley Drive extension with dark-framed corner glazing, timber soffit and a broad deck

About the project

At Astley Drive in Whitley Bay, the extension brings kitchen, dining and living spaces together with a close connection to the garden. Full-height glazing opens views across the deck and lawn, while generous rooflights bring daylight into the interior. Dark window frames and a timber soffit define the exterior, creating a contemporary addition to the existing house.
