Edwards architecture were appointed by Willowburn Hospice to design a world class Hospice and Hydrotherapy facility. Working with Barr & Wray pool designers we designed and detailed a Hydrotherapy pool of high quality providing a Spa feel whilst still offering the healthcare requirements and meeting the regulations.
Through this we gained a good knowledge of the mechanical and electrical requirements of a pool. Working closely with Barr and Wray we were able to create a well-planned layout early in the design process to ensure buildability.
Working closely with the structural engineer we co-ordinated the pool structure ensuring this co-ordinated with the standard dimensions of the pool specialist.
